Data Desk Templates
SHOE file format
Templates are Data Desk files that are tailored for a particular analysis and are saved for the purpose of applying the analysis to other data. If you do not yet have Data Desk, you may explore the power of template files by obtaining a copy of the free Data Desk demo.
All templates include "sockets" to make it fast and easy to apply the analysis to new data. Some templates are built using standard Data Desk plots and tables. Others extend the menu-based features with logic and flow provided by the Data Desk Action Control Language.
The templates are organized into four categories: Specialized Plots, Specialized Statistics, Advanced Analyses and Teaching/Illustration. The Template Quick Pick area holds a list of all the stored templates. It can be used to browse the entire template library or to find a particular template quickly.
Downloading a template is easy. Just press either the Mac or Windows Download button attached to each template and follow the instructions. All templates are self-extracting archives created using StuffIt for the Mac and WinZip for Windows.
We would really like to see this area grow. If you have an interesting template that you are willing to share, send it to us along with a note containing a short description of the template and the name of the person who authored it via e-mail to: email@example.com.
